In keeping with tradition, CBAJ is collecting Ma'ot Chitim (Passover Relief Funds) in order to ensure that all Jews are able to have a meaningful Passover with all of their needs met. In ages past, Ma'ot Chitim was actually an obligatory "tax" imposed on all members of a Jewish community.
