Sale of Chametz

Form Must be submitted by Friday, March 26, by 8:30 am.

As the sale goes into effect on Friday before the onset of Shabbat, please be sure to set aside any Chametz you would like to eat on Shabbat to be excluded from the sale. Chametz not sold may be eaten before 10:55 am on Shabbat morning, or otherwise must be destroyed in a Shabbat-appropriate manner by 11:58 am.

I hereby empower and authorize Rabbi Roy Feldman of Congregation Beth Abraham-Jacob at 380 Whitehall Road Albany, NY 12208, or any agent he may appoint and designate, to sell all Chametz that may be in my possession, wherever it may be - at home, business or elsewhere. This includes all goods which may be delivered to me over Passover as well as stocks owned in full or in part in corporations which sell or deal with Chametz. The agent has full rights to sell, dispose, and conduct all transactions, including rental of the area where the Chametz is stored and rental of right of way as they deem fit and proper, for such time which they believe necessary in accordance with detailed terms and forms explained in the contracts in their possession. There is no charge for the service of acting as your agent for the Sale of Chametz. Many have the custom to make their gift for Maot Chittim to fulfill two mitzvot at the same time. All funds collected with this form are used to provide matzah and other Passover foods and services to those in need. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
